Inspired by nature and reinforced by science, the selection of our ingredients must meet 5 fundamental criteria at LiLiKiWi:
Safety ensured by health authorities
We ensure that all our ingredients have complete bibliographic data: chemical profile or identity, physico-chemical specification, characterization, and purity of the substance…
We apply the opinions of expert committees on toxicology data: CIR, SCCS, and ANSM (1).
We study the chemical structures of our ingredients to avoid their potential drawbacks. We only use ingredients with a long history of use.
An ultra-minimalist formula
The number of ingredients in our formulas is reduced to the bare minimum. Each of our products contains only 5 to 8 ingredients to avoid all cross-reactions. For example, mixing vitamin C and sodium benzoate in a single product forms the 'benzene' molecule, which is carcinogenic.
We wish to avoid the use of complex natural mixtures such as plant extracts or essential oils: fewer ingredients for greater safety in our products and better visibility for parents.
A formula pre-evaluated, evaluated, and monitored by toxicologists
Our formula is pre-evaluated during our Research and Development phase and evaluated after all safety tests by independent toxicologists. Toxicologists provide us with a document of over 1000 pages called the Product Information File (DIP).
And that's not all! Toxicologists will also monitor the use of our products throughout their lifespan, which is called "cosmetovigilance."
A holistic ecological approach
The entire life cycle of our ingredients has been studied: the manufacturing process, the origin of raw materials, transport, biodegradability…
Only 100% natural origin ingredients obtained from a green chemistry process have been selected.
And all ingredients are then validated by Ecocert, the organization responsible for granting us the Cosmos Natural or Organic label.
"Edible" ingredients
Do not apply anything to your children's skin that you wouldn't eat. All ingredients in our products are edible (also used in food products) or food-grade, such as coconut oil and corn sugar, for example.
