The biomimetic formula of our body and face cream for children

Children's skin is more sensitive than that of adults and therefore requires special attention, we already told you about it in a previous article, it is important to offer them care products specifically suited to them. In particular for "moisturizing" creams that are used daily and are not rinsed to maintain their skin soft and protected against the aggressions of the external environment. In this article, we will explain the advantages of the use of NP ceramids and organic jojoba oil in our cream with a 100 % natural and biomimetic origin.

What is a biomimetic formula?

First of all, the term "biomimetic" is derived from the combination of two words: "bio" which means life, and "mimetic" which means imitation.

A biomimetic cosmetic formula is therefore a product or skin care formula that imitates the natural composition of human skin. This means that it is designed to imitate natural skin processes, using ingredients that are similar to those who are there naturally. Why create a biomimetic formula?

The objective of a biomimetic formula is to create a product that is effective in taking care of the skin, while minimizing the risk of irritation or other unwanted side effects.

Our skin has its own defense mechanism, and in children this system is still young and fragile.

It is essential not to use structural active ingredients too far from that of the skin, whether synthetic or natural origin so as not to delete this defense system.

What are the advantages of a biomimetic formula?

More easily integrates into the skin

The advantage of a biomimetic formula is that it is more easily assimilated by the skin.

For example, as mammals, sebum produced by our skin, which is used to nourish it, has a very different composition from that of most vegetable oils. It is for this reason that when you apply a vegetable oil to your skin, you have the impression that penetration is difficult.

Indeed, our skin has difficulty integrating vegetable oils because they are rich in triglycerides of unsaturated fatty acids (poly), and our sebum is rather rich in wax (saturated fatty acid).

Less risk of allergy

Allergy is a response from our body following the detection by our immune system of a foreign substance.

Our body detects these substances, and triggers a reaction to destroy them: immune cells “swallow” allergens and explode by releasing inflammatory substances: histamine etc ...

This is how we end up with buttons, plates, or other allergic rejoicing ...

By using a biomimetic product, the risk of allergy is much lower since our body already "knows" this type of substance and is therefore less inclined to react to it.

It is therefore quite natural that we decided to use this logic of formulation for our rolling cream intended for children!

Two biomimetic ingredients that are used to protect the skin of our children

NP ceramids:

First, NP ceramides are natural lipids found in human skin up to 50 %.

Indeed, they are essential to maintain the good health of our skin barrier, which is responsible for the protection against external aggressions and the regulation of "hydration" of the skin.

Usually, NP ceramids are of animal origin, especially from beef or bird brains ... Suffice to say that it did not really correspond to our desires for this formula of cream 100 % of natural and vegan origin.

There are synthetic ceramids, only the manufacturing procedure is heavy and polluting. So for the sake of preserving the environment and energy saving it is not a viable option in our eyes either.

This is why the ceramids that we use in our formula come from yeast fermentation: we decided to leave our friends with quiet animals! Only we pay 300 times more than brands that still use ceramids of animal or synthesis.

In order to be able to offer you a cream containing ceramids at an affordable price.

Organic jojoba oil:

As already mentioned, on the surface of our skin, vegetable oils do not easily integrate, because our skin barrier contains rather waxes.

However, there is an exception: jojoba oil.

This oil has a rather waxy composition and therefore makes it possible to optimize the penetration of our cream into the skin while nourishing it.

The 100 % natural body and face cream for your children

By combining NP ceramides and organic jojoba oil, we have created a soft and effective cream for children. NP ceramides help keep the skin barrier, while organic jojoba oil depths the skin and keeps it "hydrated".

By taking care of their skin from an early age, you can help prevent skin problems in the future and offer them healthy and radiant skin. 

Does that mean a little freshness in the cream?

Indeed, we want to strengthen the skin barrier of our children in the most natural way possible.

But not only, we added a particular sensoriality to this children's cream thanks to a third active: erythritol, which can also be called algae sugar.

This ingredient offers incredible and rather appropriate properties for this summer.

First, when penetration into the skin, this sugar will absorb heat and offer you a feeling of fresh that could remind you that of menthol. But without the menthol which is prohibited for young children;)

Even better, this sugar will also retain humidity on the surface of the skin and therefore play a very important role in hydration of the surface layers of your skin, leaving it very soft.

Precaution for the use of cream

This cream is not a restorative cream, it is therefore not suitable for damaged, irritated or lesions skins.

So to avoid in case of sunburn, eczema attacks, etc.

We are currently working on a formula that will be more suitable for dry and damaged skins to relieve small crocodile skins.

Parents with mixed or normal skin can also use this cream without any problem, after a passage in the fridge, it will be perfect for finding light legs this summer.
